Muay Thai/Kickboxing

Muay Thai and Kickboxing are two similar styles of Martial Arts, though the difference they hold against eachother are essential for a well rounded MMA Fighter. Muay Thai Kicks, Knees, Elbows and clinching are devestating, with no other Martial Art coming close the the power involved. It footwork however, is quite stagnant, and very back foot dominant. That’s where Kickboxing comes in.

The footwork in Kickboxing is modelled off the footwork of Boxing, however the stance is modified to defend leg kicks and takedowns in MMA. We strive to become as sharp as possible at performing Muay Thai Techniques, while being able to move around with speed and use angles like a Kickboxer.
